What goes on a landscaping invoice

Four details make this a landscaping invoice rather than a generic one. Each has its number in the sample’s margin, from the top of the page down.

    The Photos record notes that before-and-after pictures of the front beds went out with this invoice. On a month with $135 of mulch and two dozen annuals, the pictures show the customer what they paid for, in the ground.

A markup on materials covers your time sourcing, hauling and handling them. Decide your markup, apply it the same way on every job, and show your price per unit on the invoice.

How do I handle rainy day cancellations on invoices?

Put your weather policy in your service agreement: whether a rained-out visit is rescheduled, and whether a monthly contract is credited for it. Then apply it the same way on every invoice.
