A lawn care week is a standing list: each customer is mowed on the same weekday, so Wednesday’s 16 properties sit in the order people signed up. At 6:40 am, with lawn care scheduling, that list becomes two days, one per crew, each in driving order, and both go out to the crews in the app, routed and dispatched. A new customer had already booked a first mow online at 5:48 am, before anyone was in the office.

Each crew on its own side of town
Routed, each crew works its own half of town, and the office park that wants its crew gone by 8:30 am is mowed first, done at 8:22 am. How long each property takes is kept when the day is put in order. Crews clock in from the app with GPS time tracking and get turn-by-turn directions to the next lawn.

A realtor calls
The call comes at 8:50 am: a house on Mariposa St is being photographed for its listing tomorrow, and the lawn hasn’t been cut in three weeks. The job goes onto Crew 2’s day, and route optimization re-routes the rest of it: what’s done stays put, Mariposa St is mowed by 10:07 am, and every other lawn still gets done. The realtor is now a customer record, with the job and its invoice on it.

Invoiced when the lawn is done
Each property is invoiced from the app as the crew finishes it, and the customer pays from the invoice by card, Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo or Cash App. By the end of the sample day 12 of 17 invoices are paid; the office park and the HOA are commercial accounts and pay later. Invoices and payments sync to QuickBooks Online, so the books keep up with the crews.

The office’s afternoon
At Palo Verde Dr the crew noticed thin turf, so at 11:20 am the office sends a proposal with a deposit: aeration and overseeding, $185, $50 down. Business Genie follows it up automatically at 3:00 pm, and at 4:05 pm the customer accepts and pays the deposit. The realtor gets a review request after the listing’s mow, sent the same way.
