Handyman scheduling software
Business Genie is handyman scheduling software for days of many small jobs at different houses. Customers book online while you are on a ladder, each job keeps its length and window, and the day’s stops go in the order that drives least.

Short jobs, a lot of driving
A handyman’s day is short jobs at different houses: a faucet, grab bars, a gate latch, a ceiling fan. None of them takes long, so the drives between them are a big share of the day, about a third of it in the order the jobs were booked, and the order they are driven in decides when the day ends.
Twelve jobs, as booked
Six jobs each for Sam and Luis, in the order they were booked: forty-five minutes for a faucet, ninety for a drywall patch, and 19 to 42 minutes of driving between them.
Ordered by the drive
Route optimization re-orders each day by the shortest drive and keeps every job’s length and window: 1h 38m less driving between the two of them, both done by 3:31. It is on every plan, from $50 a month.
The 11:30 call
Reyes’s front door won’t lock, and it cannot wait. It goes next on Luis’s day, after the disposal he is on; the jobs done stay where they are and the rest of his day re-orders around it.
The windows promised
Grab bars and a tub between 8 and 10, a TV mount between 12 and 2, blinds between 1 and 3. After both re-orders, every job still starts inside the window its customer booked.
What else it does, in every trade: scheduling in Business Genie.
Twelve jobs, as booked: Sam drives 2h 44m and Luis 2h 46m, about a third of each day. Sam is done at 4:20, Luis at 4:37.

Questions about handyman scheduling software
Can customers book a handyman online?
Yes. Business Genie has online booking: a customer books the job on your booking page and it lands on your schedule, with its length and the window they chose.
Can it split the day’s jobs between two or three handymen?
Yes. Route optimization orders the day automatically and splits the jobs across your techs, keeping each job’s length and time window. When a job is added during the day, it re-routes around it.
Does route optimization cost extra for a handyman?
No. Route optimization is on every plan, and plans start at $50 a month. The first month is free, and no credit card is needed to start.
Do my handymen get directions and track their hours?
Yes. The iOS and Android app gives turn-by-turn directions to each job, and GPS time tracking records when each person clocks in and the hours they work.
A handyman job, from the quote to the follow-up
Business Genie runs the whole job, on the web and in the iOS and Android app. Each stage has its own page: the numbered stops are written for handyman; the grey rings are the same stage for every trade.
