Each picks a morning or an afternoon, because someone has to be home and the furniture has to be moved, and inside each half the jobs sit in the order they came in: three bedrooms on the north side, a rug to collect on the south edge, a sofa back up on the east. Driven that way, the van crosses the same streets all morning.

Area rug cleaning
Most area rugs are washed at the shop, not on the floor: the rug is measured, checked for loose dye and fringe, rolled and taken in, then washed, dried and brought back. Priced by the square foot.
Stain removal
A spot job: the stain is treated for what it is. Coffee and wine get a tannin spotter; pet urine is found with a UV light, treated with an enzyme and flushed out from under the pad with a subsurface extraction tool.
Upholstery cleaning
The cleaning code on the tag is read first (W for water, S for solvent, X for vacuum only) and a hidden spot is tested for colour bleed. Then the fabric is pre-sprayed, brushed and rinsed with a hand tool. Priced by the piece or by the seat.
Tile and grout cleaning
The grout lines are pre-sprayed with an alkaline cleaner and scrubbed, then a spinning tool under a hood rinses and extracts the floor at high pressure. Priced by the square foot; sealing the grout is priced on top.
Residential carpet cleaning

Commercial carpet cleaning
